ORAL ARGUMENTS IN FRONT OF PA SUPREME COURT – MAY 14, 2025
We’ve been waiting for this day since November 2022, when the case was supposed to heard but was placed on automatic stay when the Chester Receiver filed for bankruptcy in the City of Chester. This is the case to determine if Chester City alone can dissolve CWA to satisfy its financial needs. We are chartering a BUS TO HARRISBURG to go watch in person in solidarity with CWA. Hear the arguments and show your support! Sign up below to go to Harrisburg on May 14.
If you want to drive and join us there, the case will be heard in the Main Capitol Building at 501 N 3rd St, Harrisburg, PA 17120, Room 437 Main Capitol – the Ceremonial Courtroom. The exact time of the CWA case is unknown since there are several cases on the docket before the CWA arguments, and the time before the court is fluid and dependent on how long those cases take. We plan to get there at 9am and wait for the CWA case to come before the court. The other cases that day also have to do with water issues (East Whiteland case appealed from Commonwealth Court regarding the public benefit of Act 12 transactions) and will be of interest to CWA ratepayers.
